Feed the Children

Founded in 1979, Feed The Children is consistently ranked as one of the largest international charities in the U.S., based on private, non-government support. Feed The Children is an international, nonprofit relief organization with headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children, and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disasters. In FY 2011, Feed The Children distributed more than 104 million pounds of food and other essentials to children and their families in all 50 states and internationally. Sometimes the terrible reality of the millions of hungry children around the world can seem overwhelming. But you don’t have to stand by hopelessly while children are going hungry.

Smile Train

GIVE EVERY CHILD THE CHANCE TO SMILE

Smile Train is an international children’s charity that provides 100%-free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children in 85+ developing countries. Our sustainable model empowers local doctors to provide cleft care in their own communities.

SUSTAINABLE MODEL

COMPREHENSIVE CARE

Every child with a cleft needs more than just surgery — they may also need dental care, orthodontics, and speech therapy. Where these services are available, we do everything we can to provide them to our patients.

We use the “teach a man to fish” model focusing on training local doctors to perform cleft repair surgery and provide comprehensive cleft care in their own communities. Those doctors then go on to train other doctors creating a long-term, sustainable system.

OUR IMPACT

As a result of our efficiency, Smile Train has performed more than one million surgeries since 1999. Every 5 minutes, a child receives their life-changing cleft repair surgery.

The Food Depot

NOT JUST FEEDING PEOPLE . . .
HELPING CHANGE LIVES

Hunger is a growing crisis in New Mexico. It is often hidden, but it affects one of every five people and one of every three children in our state.

The Food Depot operates a range of programs designed to meet critical needs in the nine Northern New Mexico counties we serve. We help people of all ages with differing needs—those living in remote villages as well as in our largest cities and towns.

Your generosity and your contributions of food, financial support and volunteer time make all of our work possible.

And when you support The Food Depot, you're not just feeding people. You're helping them change their lives. You're improving a child's ability to learn, increasing a worker's productive energy and strengthening an elderly person's resistance to disease.

Read the summary of our programs, then click through for more details and the real-life stories of some of the New Mexicans helped by your support.
